avfs software package provides virtual filesystem to access archives, disk images, remote locations, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install avfs
avfs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the avfs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep avfs *
You will get with avfs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
